Cloud spend should be understandable — and under control.
OptCloud is a FinOps platform for teams that run real multi-cloud footprints. We exist to turn invoices, tags, and utilization into decisions people can act on together.
Why OptCloud was born
Modern companies do not live in a single cloud. They run AWS for one product line, Azure for another, Google Cloud for data, Kubernetes across all three — and then Snowflake, Databricks, or Datadog on top. Each vendor ships its own cost console. None of them speak the same language as your org chart.
We saw the same pattern again and again: engineering ships for reliability and speed; finance sees the bill weeks later; nobody owns the middle. Spreadsheets fill the gap. Rightsizing “projects” create a one-month dip, then waste creeps back. AI and GPU spend arrive as a new line item with no owner and no unit metric.
OptCloud started from a simple belief: FinOps is an operating model, not a quarterly cleanup. Teams need continuous visibility, shared ownership, and tools that respect both the engineer who provisions resources and the analyst who forecasts cash. We are building the platform we wished existed when those two worlds only met in a tense meeting over an unexplained spike.
That is why OptCloud combines a unified cost ledger, prioritized recommendations, and a FinOps Agent grounded in live data — so questions like “why did EKS jump last week?” have answers rooted in your accounts, not in generic cloud folklore.
Who we support — and how
OptCloud is for platform, FinOps, engineering, and finance partners who share accountability for cloud economics. Here is where we step in.
Multi-cloud visibility
Unify AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and related platforms into one ledger — so engineering and finance stop reconciling three invoices in three tools.
Cost allocation & ownership
Map spend to teams, products, and environments with tags and labels. Showback that people trust is the foundation of any FinOps practice.
Prioritized optimization
Rightsizing, idle cleanup, and commitment coverage ranked by estimated impact — not an endless spreadsheet of low-value noise.
FinOps Agent
Ask natural-language questions about spikes, forecasts, and waste. Answers are grounded in your connected cost data, not generic advice.
Governance that sticks
Budgets, anomaly alerts, and policy-minded workflows so savings do not evaporate the month after a one-off cleanup project.
Kubernetes & data platforms
Shared clusters and data warehouses break traditional cloud views. We help allocate and optimize where native billing tools stop short.
Deep connection guides for each provider live in our documentation. Solution pages cover AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, rightsizing, and commitments in more depth.
Benefits of working with OptCloud
Outcomes we design for — without inventing customer tallies or savings trophies we have not earned yet.
One source of truth for cloud spend
Finance, platform, and product teams look at the same numbers. Debates shift from “whose export is right?” to “what should we do next?”
Faster time from insight to action
Recommendations and Agent answers come with context — resource, owner, and estimated monthly impact — so work can enter a backlog with a clear owner.
Least-privilege by design
Connectors start read-only. Visibility does not require write access to production. Automation, when you enable it, stays behind explicit approval.
Built for how FinOps actually works
Inform → Optimize → Operate. We design for continuous practice — weekly reviews, tagging hygiene, commitment utilization — not a one-time audit PDF.
Honest product, honest messaging
We are building OptCloud in the open with early teams. We do not invent customer counts or savings totals to look bigger than we are.
A partner for the long loop
Cloud pricing, architectures, and AI spend keep changing. OptCloud is meant to stay beside your stack as scopes expand — SaaS, AI, containers, and beyond.
What guides us
Principles we use when we choose what to build — and what not to claim.
Trust over theater
Security, privacy, and accurate data beat flashy dashboards. If a number cannot be traced to a bill or inventory record, it does not belong in a decision.
Shared ownership
FinOps fails when it lives only in finance or only in engineering. We build for both personas in the same product.
Clarity before automation
Automate only what teams understand and approve. Silent changes to production are not a feature.
Craft in the details
We ship interfaces and workflows that respect the intelligence of the people who use them — operators, analysts, and leaders alike.
Building in public with early teams
OptCloud is early. We are focused on shipping a credible FinOps platform — connectors, recommendations, Agent, and governance — and learning alongside the first organizations that trust us with their cost data. If that sounds like the partner you want while your cloud footprint grows, we would like to talk.
